RADIOLOGY

Radiology is the field of medical imaging. Our centre is well equipped with a variety of modalities to cover a plethoraof diagnostic requirements namely; Ultrasound, X-Ray, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Computed Tomography (CT),
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (M.R.I), Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DEXA).

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

We are equipped with a 1.5 Tesla MRI modalityto create to ensure that we are able to attend to patients with needs requiring this specific modality type, while bearing in mind that the MRI carries the added advantage of being able to analyze all body parts – blood, organs, bone, soft tissues etc.

Computerized Tomography (CT)

At BTHDC we currently have two Philips machines that ensure that low dose CT scanners give fast and high quality images for you and your attending physician. Images are available for CD or USB storage.

X-Ray

At BTHDC OUR x-Ray services are a world class based on the state-of-the art Philips X-Ray systems that enables us to perform studies relating to chest, bones, and some other joints in the human body. We are also able to control the amount of exposure delivered to patients by leveraging on the Intelligent Philips Microdose functionality in our X-Ray modality.

Ultrasound

We are currently equipped with Philips and Mindray Ultrasound modalities which ensure that we are able to perform standard 2D scans, 3D and Colour Doppler enabled equipment for clear and precise images.

Mammography

At BTHDC we have invested in Digital Mammography units from Fujifilm to ensure we are able to provide services for patients for breast scans. Early breast scan enables quick diagnosis especially in cases of breast cancer

Fluoroscopy

We are equipped with Fluoroscopy machine which is able to produce Dynamic X-Ray allows for real time images of the anatomy for on-site diagnosis.

Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry (DEXA)

With our DEXA modality, measurement of bone mineral density required in cases of osteoporosis diagnosis or determining risk of bone breakage can be addressed

Interventional Radiology

Specialized procedures such as Coronary Angiogram for diagnosing heart conditions; Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter procedures for treating of thrombosis cases; CT-guided and Ultrasound guided procedures.
