Who we are

BTHDC is an ultra-modern Diagnostic Center facility which provides Radiology and laboratory services at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja Lagos. BTHDC is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between PPC Limited and Lagos State Government. PPC Limited is affiliated to Philips Medical System (PMS), a global leader in providing clinical management and diagnostic technology, and have been successful in transferring latest technology to the healthcare industry in Nigeria. At BT Health and Diagnostics Centre, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This notice explains how we collect, use, and protect your data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.

What Information We Collect

We may collect:

  • Your name, date of birth, contact details (phone number or/and email).
  • Medical history, diagnosis, treatment records, test results, and prescriptions.
  • Insurance details and billing information.

Why We Collect Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide safe and effective medical diagnosis.
  • Keep accurate medical records.
  • Communicate with you and your doctor about our findings to aid your treatment and care.
  • Process payments and insurance claims.

How We Protect Your Data

  • We store your records securely (both electroniccally and physical).
  • Only authorized staff (Medical Personnel and Administrative) can access your data.
  • We use technology such as secure data encryption techniques and password protection to keep your data safe from un-authorized access

Sharing Your Data

We may share your data with:

  • Other healthcare providers involved in your diagnosis and treatment.
  • Laboratories, Pharmacies, and Diagnostic Centres.
  • Insurance companies for claims.

We will never sell your data to third parties.

 Your Rights as a Patient

You have the right to:

  • Access your medical records.
  • Request corrections if your information if captured wrongly.
  • Ask us to limit certain uses of your data as captured on the consent form
  • Withdraw consent for non-medical uses (e.g. research or training).
  • Request for your unused clinical samples
  • Make a complaint to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you believe your rights are not respected.

How Long We Keep Your Data

  • We keep your medical records for at least 10 years (or longer, as required by medical regulations).
  • After that period, we securely delete or destroy them.
